Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and his earliest memories were of The Toronto Blue Jays 1992/1993 Championship Parades.


That experience made him a life long sports fan and inspired him to become a broadcaster.


Graduated with a diploma in Journalism - Broadcasting at Sheridan College, interning at 680 News that summer.


He then returned to Sheridan College to earn a post-graduate certificate in Journalism - New Media, interning at Rogers TV Mississauga that summer.


He then went to what would later be known as Toronto Metropolitan University to earn a bachelor's degree in what is now known as Media Arts with a minor in English.


From there he interned at TSN 1050, being hired as a producer and later Jays fan reporter for 4 years.


He also had a short stint at TSN SportsCentre as a Story Editor.


He eventually moved over to SiriusXM Canada where he served for 9 years.


Host Of The Bilal Vakani Hour, The Ben and Bilal Show and The Morning Show on Canada Talks, Senior Producer of Podcast Operations, Senior Producer of Talent and Industry Relations, Operator, Sports Anchor for The Scoreboard and Reporter for MLB Network Radio.


Bilal has interviewed some of the biggest names in the world and John Cho called him one of the “most thoughtful interviewers out there.”
